Join us in the foyer of the Opera one hour before each of the four performances of Das Rheingold. In just 20 minutes Henrik Engelbrecht, Head of Dramaturgy at the Royal Danish Opera and part of the team who created The Copenhagen Ring, gives an insight into the world of this particular production. Free admission with tickets for the performances.

Tuesdays 25th April, 2nd, 16th, 23rd May at 7 PM.
 
The Ring in a model theatre version
Guest performance by Svalegangens Dukketeater

See the four parts of Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen in a model theatre version by Per Brinck Abrahamsen and Kasper Wilton. Each opera takes about 45 minutes and the set design re-creates the original performance in Bayreuth in 1876.

Children's opera for ages 8-11.

A little boy named Sigurd lives with the blacksmith Regin, who is waiting for Sigurd to grow up and become strong enough to kill Fafner the dragon. Then Regin can finally get his hands on the treasure he's been coveting all these years. Sounds familiar? This is a brand-new mini version of the Ring Cycle story, only for children. Duration: 60 min (no intermission).

Sigurd Dragedræber will be performed in Danish.
