How can it end this way? Götterdämmerung is the culmination of Wagner's monumental family saga on power and love, Der Ring des Nibelungen. The evil Hagen tricks Siegfried into renouncing the love of his life - and Brünnhilde sits in her family's attic looking back on her life and trying to make sense of it all. The Ring has closed.
